This asset is a high-traffic, multi-use trail, adjacent to the recently expanded Skyview campground near Lightning Lakes in Manning Park. Our contract was to widen the trail and improve the finished trail surface using on-site materials. This work was to be done using a combination of hand building as well as machine building. We also needed to rebuild significant sections of existing boardwalk, as well as install new sections of boardwalk to span low, wet areas near the sensitive lakeshore environment. In addition we built multiple bridges using gabion baskets and heavy timber to span the creeks that feed and drain the lake. 

This project was completed on time and under budget, allowing us to expand the scope of the project to include rebuilding sections of the adjacent Little Muddy Trail. Due to project savings were also able to layout, rough-in, and complete a new trail that provides access along the South perimeter of Skyview campground.
