Mountain Biking.

Flow lines and features.

Our team has worked hard to acquire the elusive skills needed to build the perfect mountain bike trails.

Outpost team member Matt Scott has spent the better part of the past two decades building some of the most iconic mountain biking trails and features in the Fraser Valley. The art of the perfect flow line begins with the builder and their team seeing the terrain through the eyes of the riders who will use the finished product. This process includes incorporating interesting natural features, and laying out a trail the best allows the rider to experience the place they are traveling through. Then the hard work begins.

Unlike many other kinds of trail use, mountain biking is unique in that the trail must maintain a relatively uniform level of difficulty, and represent a seamless path through our challenging West Coast terrain, otherwise it can become dangerous for this fast paced user group. We believe that the best mountain bike trails incorporate intricate bridge work to cross creeks and ravines, earthen burms to facilitate cornering, bench cutting to level steep stopes, and wood features and jumps to add a bit of fun. Our resume exists in our trails that are standing the test of time throughout the Fraser Valley, and we are always looking to add to it!

Outpost gives back.

Every member of our team is a part of the communities that we build for, and that is why we love giving back to the places that we also recreate in. Our commitment is to lend our skills and our time to bolster the efforts of volunteer organizations as they work to build and maintain their local trails. By supporting Outpost, you support your own hardworking volunteers.
